چکیده

Using longitudinal control lines and sparse measured cross sections with large spaces, a new method for quickly reconstructing digital terrains in natural riverways is presented. The riverway, mainly including the river boundaries, thalweg, dividing of floodplains main channel, water edges, can be obtained by interpreting satellite images, remote sensing images or site surveys. Then, are introduced into quadrilateral grid generation as auxiliary that riverway trends reflect transverse terrain changes. equal cross-sectional area principle at same level, all reasonably fitted. On above basis, virtue fitted data weighted distance method, interpolations along conducted to obtain elevation nodes. Finally, according readable text formats MIKE21 SMS, gridded connection information output computer programming achieve good construction exchange channels fully exploit special advantages various software programs visualization further utilization.

3D Reconstruction from Sparse Unorganized Cross Sections

In this thesis work, we propose an algorithm for smooth 3D object reconstruction from unorganized planar cross sections. We address the problem in its full generality, and show its effectiveness on sparse set of cutting planes. Our algorithm is based on construction of a globally consistent signed distance function over the cutting planes. It uses a divide-and-conquer approach utilizing Hermite...

Surface interpolation for sparse cross-sections using region correspondence

The ability to estimate a surface from a set of cross-sections allows calculation of the enclosed volume and display of the surface in three-dimensions (3-D). However, extracting the cross-sections (segmenting) can be very difficult, and automatic segmentation methods are not sufficiently robust to deal with all situations. Hence, it is an advantage if the surface reconstruction algorithm can w...

C1-Continuous Terrain Reconstruction from Sparse Contours

Contour lines from topographic maps are still the most common form of elevation data for the Earth’s surface and in the case of historical landscapes, they often are the only available source of information. In this paper we present a new contour interpolation method that solves this bivariate problem by considering univariate curve interpolation along the approximate gradient directions of the...

Drawing Lines and Conic Sections using Method of Deviation

Method of deviation was introduced in [1] for drawing implicit curves. This paper develops algorithms for drawing lines and conic sections using method of deviation. All computations are performed in integer mode. The lines and conic sections drawn are compared with those drawn using mid point algorithm.
